Graduation Card
It's that time of year when the graduation annoucements start arriving! This was a simple card to put together and can be made in any school colors.
I used an older Stampin' Up stamp for the graduation cap and the brand new Simply Stated Stamp Set by Catherine Pooler Designs for the "Congratulations." This set has stamps for every occasion and I will definitely be using it again and again!
The card is a standard 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 inches, side folding. The black layer is 4 x 5-1/4 and the red layer is 3-3/4 x 5. I stamped the graduation cap onto the red layer using VersaMark ink for a patterned effect.
I stamped the graduation cap in black onto a white 1-1/2 inch circle and layered that on top of a black 1-7/8 inch circle die cut with the Stitched Shapes FramelitsDies from Stampin' Up.
I stamped the "Congratulations" onto white cardstock, cut around the black stamped border, and layered it onto a piece of black cardstock cut at 1-5/8 x 2-5/8.
Other than adding a dimensional behind the black circle, everything else is adhered down flat, so no problems with mailing and no additional postage needed!
If you're looking for a simple graduation card, this may fit the bill!
