This is a monochromatic set of birthday cards using the Crazy About You stamp set. This is such a versatile set. If you could only buy one set of stamps, this would take care of your needs all year long - Birthday, Baby, Graduation, Father's Day, Mother's Day, Thanks, Hello, Spring, and many more! It has become my favorite stamp set. The background and featured flower is stamped with one of the flowers from the set. There is also a coordinating punch available to cut out this flower. Four of the cards were made from the 2013-2015 In Color collection, which will no longer be available after the end of May, so now is the time to get it if you like the colors (Strawberry Slush, Coastal Cabana, Pistachio Pudding, and Crisp Cantaloupe). I added a card made with Daffodil Delight.
Do you like the monochromatic look? I enjoyed making the backgrounds to go with the cards. I need to do this more often. It makes you feel "artistic" to stamp a pattern.
I was asked in a comment about the sizes of the layers. Here are the sizes: T
he card base is cut at 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 and folded in half, making the finished card size 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 inches. The bottom white layer is cut at 4-1/8 x 5-3/8 inches and the top stamped background layer is cut at 4 x 5-1/4 inches. A helpful hint is to stamp the background layer on a larger piece of cardstock and then trim down to size.
